Therapeutic resistance, systemic toxicity, and limited tumor selectivity remain major challenges in cancer and antimicrobial treatment strategies, highlighting the need for multifunctional bioactive agents like fungi. This study evaluates the multifunctional bioactivities of different extracts of Trametes polyzona by combining dose-response analysis with selectivity assessment, and examines various fractions of T. polyzona extracts for antioxidant and antibacterial properties, as well as cytotoxic effects on HepG2, HCT116, and MDA-MB-231 cancer cell lines, using NCTC clone 929 fibroblast cells as non-malignant controls.
