文章用照片提取的方法硏究了先秦時期鼎的演化。他們使用的方法是“本體工程和語義分割”（Ontology Engineering and Semantic Segmentation），從2176張青銅鼎的照片作了數據提取，歸納出了32個演化組。分析過程還採用了AI的輔助的定量分析。
