Always be humble; this is an attitude I constantly remind myself to hold onto in life.
However, arrogance is human nature—it sneaks out when we aren’t paying attention to it. Arrogance is a shallow personal trait, driven by a lack of cognition and sufficient self-awareness. It is also a river everyone has to cross at least once in their life.

For arrogant people, it is hard to listen to others’ opinions. Being arrogant isn’t inherently wrong, but it can make you lose the chance to take in new things. In life, nobody enjoys talking to someone who is constantly arrogant. We all have the freedom to choose our proper mindset, so arrogance should be completely uprooted.

To me, being arrogant is like putting a blindfold over your eyes. It’s people who hold their head high, chasing that self-proclaimed feeling of superiority and aloofness. But truly cultivated people stay calm, confident, and at ease in any situation.

Real humility comes from a long period of inner growth. We often notice that many adults, especially those over 50, can easily hold deep, thoughtful conversations. This is because they’ve learned to let go of the arrogance they had when they were younger, and they genuinely know how to listen attentively to others and respond thoughtfully in deep exchanges. For most people who’ve lived long lives, their posture is always humble—like wheat heads, bending low and respecting others for who they are.

Being humble is a precious personal quality. The more extraordinary a person is, the more humble they tend to be. Being humble is like a ray of warm light: it warms others, and also benefits yourself. No matter how much we already know, there are always still unknown things waiting to be discovered.

Especially when all of us live inside our own "knowledge cocoons" we’ve crocheted ourselves, it’s necessary to stay humble to learn what we don’t know from others. After all, humility is the key that opens the door to the outside world.

Thank you for reading this carefully. Good night.
