因为我们中国人在学英语这件事上走了太多弯路了。

不但学习方法搞错了，而且学习的目标好像也出现了偏差。

就拿“中式英语”来说，很多人都害怕自己的英语被贴上“中式英语”的标签，好像你说中式英语就完蛋了，你说的就不是英语了。

但其实完全没有必要害怕“中式英语”。这个现象是普遍存在的，新加坡有新式英语，印度有印式英语，全世界每一个使用英语的地方，都会出现 x 式英语。

书里面说：

There are only around 400 million mother-tongue speakers... for every one native speaker of English there are now five non-native speakers. The centre of gravity in the use of English has shifted... Everyone who has taken the trouble to learn English can be said to 'own' it now, and they all have a say in its future. So, if most of them say such things as informations and advices, it seems inevitable that one day some of these usages will become part of international standard English.
