她几乎所有的文学创作都聚焦于文献学家对词语的痴迷与诗人对新意蕴的渴望之间的交汇点。她本人也曾明确指出，词语的语源学（词源）正是她所有创作的起点。

授奖词准确抓住了安妮·卡森（Anne Carson）创作的灵魂：

“古典与现代的桥梁”：卡森最具代表性的作品如《红的自传》（Autobiography of Red），就是基于古希腊诗人斯特西科罗斯（Stesichoros）关于怪物赫里阿尼斯（Geryon）的残篇进行再创作，将古典神话无缝嵌入现代诗体小说中。

The Nobel Prize in Literature 2026 has been awarded to the Canadian author Anne Carson “for her bold and inventive oeuvre that, in playful dialogue with the classical tradition, has created new forms for contemporary literature.”

Anne Carson has, throughout her entire career, combined poetry writing with translation work and teaching at various universities. Almost all her literary production has centred upon the intersection between the philologist’s obsession with words and the poet’s desire for new meaning. She has herself identified the etymology of words as the starting point for all her work.
